Binary math?

I was thinking about this, and I don't understand how it's done.

How can you add, subtract, multiply, or divide in binary? Are bitwise operations the way it's done? If so, then how?

0+0 = 0
0+1 = 1
1+0 = 1
1+1 = 0, carry one (in other words, 1+1 = 10)

Those are the addition rules, I'm not sure about the rest. Mabye the Wiki will help you.
