Hello everyone, hopefully someone can help me with my problem.
My problem is, im having serious lagging on my games.
I was wondering why.
To my belief, i believe my system is more than qualified to handle these games, but for some odd reason it doesnt.
my computer stats are.
ASUS P4P800S motherboard
3.2 Ghz Pentium 4
1.5Ghz DDR PC3200 400(1gig corsair, 512 cheapo)
120 GB hard drive.
Gforce FX 5200 256mb AGP
Alright, im not super computer intelligent but i know enough to keep me happy.
My problem is that im recieving really low frame rates on games such as Doom3, and Half-Life 2.
Doom3 is my main problem.
ALL of my video option are turned to its lowest settings with all visual effects turned off and im striking at around 18FPS.
and during high combat it is batting around 10 FPS.
Half-life 2 isnt soo bad, but i notice it gets a bit laggy during fire fights.... but its liveable.
But when playing Half-Life Death Match or Counter Strike Source, it wont let me play. It does its loading process, and the last 2 blocks of loading information, the game not responds.
All my video drivers and game updates are current, as of yesterday. Is my problem just an out of date video card? Or is it some other problem. ANY type of information for my problem will be highly appreciated.
