I use Notepad++ and I find it annoying to always click "Run" then click IE each time I want to view what I created.

I want to be able to see two windows at the same time so I can code and view what I am creating at the same time.

W3 has a website where half the page is code and the other half is the image you created.

What do they call that?

Notepad++ is great for quick editing.
But for what you are asking, maybe Visual studios are more to your taste.

if you use windows 7 or above.

drag notepad ++ to the left most side of the screen, drag IE to the rightmost side of the screen,

they will both half maximise taking up half the screen each.

now you can just write your code in notepad++ and his save, then hit refresh in IE.

I scapped some code a few years ago that was doing this exact thing. I couldn't get the syntax highlighting working. If there is enough demand for it, I might just try again.
