What would you all say is the best ISP for your buck? Name the ISP, the price, and the down/up load speed.

As some of you know I have SBC YAHOO DSL for 26.95/month. I get 40 kilobyte (not bit as I learned) downloads. The give me 313/309 up/down kilobits per second.

I'd say that, for the price, the down/up load rates are fair.

Bell Sympatico

32$ a month CDN, 2.5 / 660 service. Great for gaming. This is a special me only price because me = special though, regular is 45.

And for an extra 3$ / month I get 4 / 800 service

dang...I never like SBC Yahoo. I might consider looking around for other companies. DJ you get a discount or somethin did you say?

I like Beedubaya's ISP also.

Shaw Cable Services. 20GB of UP/DL monthly. 3MB/s max[megabyte not megabit]

59.95

Shaw wont do 3MB

3.75MB is also all what is run on a single cable...

Why do ISPs have to charge at all?

So why does bandwidth cost money anyway? ISPs overestimate bandwidth usage cause they know most subscribers wont reach their limit and if you go up the chain far enough to metropolitan area exchanges and network access points, I dont think they have to pay anything? So do you always have to pay for internet access??
