Battlefield 2142 DVD wont read??

Battlefield 2142 sux

So I just got Battlefield 2142 for Christmas and went to install it on my desktop and the computer won't even recognize it. It just appears as a blank drive. Has anyone else had this problem? (for reference my drive is a NEC 3550A). Weird thing is it is recognized properly by my old Inspiron 600m DVD/CDRW combo drive, ugh.
Talk about disappointing...

Screw it, I'll just play BF2. I've read BF2142 isnt that great anyways. At least it wasnt my $50 wasted...

lol 2142 is fun for just goofing around in and flying planes (I enjoy it) bf2 is more fast paced and stuff but 2142 still wasnt a complete was of money for me

Maybe your disk is faulty. Call the helpline for ''Faulty Disk'' in the manual.

Then spend 3 hours speeking to someone of a foreign nature running you through Procedures written on a blackboard on the otherside of the call center.


Not to be mean ^ ^ ^ but its true... atleast in the UK it is.
