Whats it gonna take to run these nicely. I'm Building a new computer and I want to make sure it will run these.

Knowing how badly coded the Battlefield series is, chances are nothing will run it properly, no matter how much money you throw at it - you'll still get warping scenery, laggy graphics, choppy sound - it might improve after 3 patches though.

However, Quake Wars will probably need something like a 7800GTX, I'd reckon.

Yup

BF2 is a crappy coded game, with some decent graphics. I still love it though! I won'pt be getting BF2 2142 anyways for a long time to come cause I ain't getting a game which I will have to reboot the game to join a different server.

Yeah, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is pretty sick.

Word. Thanks to EA, Battlefield 2 sucks. They come out with the most useless expansions and crap. Of course, the graphics are actually not bad, considering the size of each map.

U don't have to buy the expansions if u don't like them...

But I'm still probably going to get bf2142, but I'll have to try out the demo first to see if it's worth the money.

Quake wars is built of the doom 3 engine, so you dont need a 7800gtx to play it well. It will be high, but not that high.

Yeah, id Software has decided to stay with DirectX 9 until DirectX 10 becomes more mainstream and things have smoothed out.
