Backing Up Files

I want to back up my pictures and my music onto dvd's. Today I backed up my pictures onto one dvd using Nero Backitup, but I didn't realize that it turns into into a couple of .nba files. What software can I use to backup my stuff on dvd's without turning it into weird files that only a certain program can open?

If you are just looking for a second copy of everything, just use nero and burn a data DVD.

yeah or you could just use the windows burning tool,

can i please suggest an external hardrive i know there can be more costly compared to DVD's but they are absolutely brilliant for backups or even extra storage

External HD's are really handy for those who format a lot. And even then, it's good to have a back up of all your important stuff, like music. and pron.

When you use Nero select multi session disc then if you don't use all the disc up first time you can keep adding to it

Just use the built-in backup tool in XP, its in the system tools folder.
