Ati with dedicated physx card

im really hoping you mean just an nvidia card acting as a physx card and not an actual dedicated physx card (as they do make them, all though i think they were discontinued along time ago).

I was thinking I could do this with my 8800 GT coupled with my 5870

Though I also remembered Nvidia updated their drivers to disable PhysX if an ATI GPU was the primary GPU.
Unsurprisingly, I see people have bypassed that restriction now.

After looking around, I am thinking a good card to use as a dedicated PhysX card is the GT 240.

I never thought I would actually consider buying a rebrand/die shrink of the G92, but it seems that the GT 240 is really good on power consumption (using a 40nm GPU) while also having 96 shaders.
