Was waiting for someone to post this, otherwise I was going to post it.
It is as fast as or faster than the GTX 295, I think the $399 price tag is very good. ATi could mark the price right up and sell loads seeing as it will have no competition for at least a couple of months.

but if they do... just means more money to get there scaling right with x2 cards of them 5870's
an those will make all us fan boys grin wide lol
I really do bet that these new cards can probably get to 1Ghz core clock.

I just hope that game devs will actually try and use DX11, there are very few games that even supported DX10. I won't be picking one up until it drops down to about $150, which might be around next summer? I can wait since I don't have a game that needs more than my 8800GT.

kinda makes me want a 5870x2, because it would destroy that Mars card lol.
