Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe/AMD Venice

Hey all,

I plan on purchasing this board, but I've heard that the RAM does not overclock well with a Venice. Is this true? And if so, which AMD would you recommend?

venice OCs fine. get a DFI Lanparty nf4 SLI-DR instead.

just get that motherboard i suggested and OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2s instead. they're not much more.

1.) that asus board sucks
2.) the DFI lanparty is much better than it at anything, especially overclocking
3.) VX=voltage xtreme; asus can't provide shit voltages; you're gonna need the DFI board, which can provide up to 4Vdimm

umm all over TF, the asus does suck compared to DFI,
and the VX are voltage extreme and with jumpers set right the dfi can provide up to 4v
