Application Compatibility Kit (XP)

Try installing the Application Compatibility Kit 2.0 from the XP pro cd, if u are having trouble with older programs.

its in "D:\SUPPORT\TOOLS\ACT20.EXE"

I don't know if this is also in the XP Home edition cd. I know its in the XP Pro.

It has a built in Database of almost all the programs and their settings.

Hmm.. never tried it.. but then again, i've never really had any compatibility problems in XP

I didnt have any Compatibility Probs either. Just putting it for the ppl who does.

May be the key here, since I can't get 3DMark 99 to install at all

Wonder if it'll work for older MS-DOS games
