anyone notice that the search changed?

i dont know if its ai algorithm that was introduced to search function but my search results are basically just junk now.
facebook google ebay even craigslist and offerup will show just absolutely random results
sometimes even show zero results of what i search for

last week it finally caught up to me when offerup sent me that spam notification about the "related items to gaming laptop" that i been searching for.
i open that to uncheck
and there was not a single gaming laptop in results it was cars watches random construction equipment that i never even searched for and bunch of other stuff that i didnt even search for

my other searches also have been affected by it

its starting to get annoying to search for something and get spammed by pages and pages of unrelated garbage.

consumers are losing as a group because these CEOs are so obsessed with AI because they think it will make them all stupid rich since they can train it and finally have that "passive income"they been talking about where the robots work instead of humans and they just drink fancy drinks in their towers in the sky just like sci fi movies

This has been happening since before AI. Google as a search engine has been tailored to feed you targeted ads before giving you what you want, and also been caught several times delisting info that might be deemed "controversial". It's why a lot of folks moved to Brave or Duck Duck Go, but even DDG has gone down the Google like rabbit hole.

Yes, I have noticed for at least 2-3 years the ever-increasing terribleness of any search engines results.

Now today in 2024 I typically have to re-try 2-3 different wording and phrases and then cross reference different sites and results to be satisfied with what I was looking for.
