Any point in having XP - Windows Media Center

...as oppose to Windows XP Professional edition. I've had quite a lot of problems with drivers and such, e.g. havn't been able to find video drivers.

The laptop (inspiron 6400) came with MCE and still some of the original hardware doesn't work. I NEVER use the Media Center and only use it for work.

Does Media Center edition slow down your computer? Is it worth having?

Welcome toe ComputerForums. I would recommend that you get and/or install Pro. Unless you are using Media Center for the it purpose then there really instant any real purpose to keep it around. Especially since it is on a laptop, I can't imagine that it has a lot of hdd space, or ram.
