Anti-virus won't update properly

On my small domain all pcs work fine with symantic endpoint protection and updates daily with a reasonable internet bandwidth. However one specific computer on the domain is not updating the antivirus properly. I always get a "fail to update" or "connection time out" error. I've also tried some free antivirus software such as avast and microsoft essentials with the same error occuring.

Any suggestions as to what is causing this?

Yes they can quite strange!
