lets say i have TWO documents, each split into rows so one document is

89198uaud
9uja90jdaj
asjdf9ajsd

and the other is the same format....how would i merge each document so that they were next to each other seperated by a colan like

liasjdf9ija:joaisjdij
ljasidj:lajsdj

Have the rows always got some whitespace between them? Are you still talking about microsoft word? And is the whitespace between the rows the only whitespace in the document?

If this is the case then you should be able to knock together a simple find / replace to do it for you. Haven't done this in years, but from memory you'll want something like:

^w

...in your find field (this is a wildcard for whitespace if I'm thinking correctly) and

:

...in your replace field. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll have more of a think about it!
