Okay guys I have around 1000$ to spend on a new system to use for gaming. I want to build it myself. It will be my first time attempting a build.

This is the cpu I want to use (I want to overclock):

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail

This is the operating system I want to use:

Microsoft Windows Vista 64-Bit Home Premium for System Builders Single Pack DVD - OEM

I want 2GB of RAM for now but I would like to be able to upgrade to 4GB in the near future.

I would like a nicer case. I'm not sure about SLI vs P35. I'm not sure which graphics card I should get. Any and all help is much appreciated ! I want to play the "next gen" mmorpgs on this system with plenty to spare.

Also not included in the 1000$, I will be needing a good monitor in the 200$ range. any suggestions appreciated. I guess it needs to work well with whatever graphics card i end up choosing.

Gigabyte p35-ds3l ~100
Crucial ballistix 2x1gb ddr800 ~ 50AR
Corsair 520hx or 550vx ~ 80
eVga 8800gt 512 ~300(230-250 if you wait a week or 2)
Vista home premium 64 ~ 110
Antec 900 ~ 100
e6750 ~ 200 or q6600 ~ 275 (worth the extra money)
TT120 ~ 50

Well the power supply can be had for 50 bucks less at buy.com after rebates. If you hold off a week or 2 you'll save another 50 on the video card.

Invisible you need to learn how to read. LOL. He said not included in the 1k he needs a $200 monitor. LOL

Just so you know, the GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L doesn't have RAID functions, so if you want RAID, you'll probably want to spend $30 more for the GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R.

Also, I'm not a fan of the E2180, however, I suppose it will hold you off for a little while. Overclock it as much as you can though.... otherwise it's useless.

Looks good though.
