Another barebone box thread

Ok, well first of all let me introduce my self. My name is Chris and i live in california. Enough said. I am looking to build my own computer, i am looking in the ways of barebone boxes for obvious reasons.

Questions: What kind of processer to get? (thinking pent4)
OS (thinking xp pro or 2k)
mother board?
graphics cards?
HDD?
and all that other little stuff.

I am looking for internet access, media, gaming, and the whole tv thing.

CPU-AMD 64
OS-WIN XP SP2
MOBO-pci-ex if possible.
GPU-barebones dont come with this that i know of. get a 6600gt
HDD-7200RPM any brand ATA
RAM-1gb OCZ value select
just get any drives...that should be about it. im guessing this is a budget system?

Yes this is a budgt system atm. I am leaning twards the intel stuff because i havnt heard much about the AMD. Could you elaborate please?
