In todays day and age it seems like people are head over heels to post themselves all over the internet. You got your facebooks, myspaces, twitters, forums, blogs..etc....

But now, enter google. The most popular and probably the most powerful search engine available and they want to offer you this:
https://www.google.com/accounts/Ser....google.com/profiles/me?edit=go&ltmpl=landing

Create your own profile on google. That way when people search for "John Interwebz" or "Jane Netizen" they can get a detailed view of your life, what you look like in all your glory.

WTF? I don't get it.

It is because most people today suffer from this syndrome: Unwarranted Self-Importance - Encyclopedia Dramatica

QFT. Period.

"Everyone else is doing it!"

And the complete lack of common sense and the careless action towards signing up for all those websites. Everyone wants information NOW and wants to be connected to EVERYTHING. It's crazy, and they suffer the consequences. It's almost deserved.
