Annoying thing on monitor! What is it?!

I was watching scrubs when all of a sudden a little rectangular mark came on the bottom of my monitor. Its on the monitor, not from the computer. I couldn't get a picture of it but I depicted what it looks like in photoshop.

Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix it? Do I have to send in for a new monitor? Luckily, I do have a warranty.

Anyways, the real picture wouldn't look any different than that. its a rectange (inside the rectangle is fine), with an orange glow around it.

Yeah, the flower symbol. The special zoom concentration for close objects.

I'm guessing it's some dead pixels. Shit happens, just RMA it. I'm sure Samsung has some dead pixel coverage policy.

Oh, it came on! I thought I read it crawled up! No, that's a series of dead pixels. RMA.

Edit: I had the monitor off since last night (I used an old one), and the dead pixels are gone. I have a 3 year warranty so I'll just let it be unless it happens again.
