So I have a Benq 2412HD Monitor (23.56 inch) and a Powercolor HD 4670 AGP video card, and I can't seem to get the monitor to go to the resolution I want it to. It says the aspect ratio is 16:9 and my monitor says its native resolution is 1920x1080, and my video card says it can go that high. However when I select any resolution over 1680x1050 I end up with about half inch black boarder around every side (top, bottom, left and right) before it shows my desktop. It will display the resolution, however it is not full screen and its annoying me as I want to go to 1920x1080. I connected the two by a HDMI to DVI cable. If anyone knows a solution or finds a flaw in my hardware please let me know.

you are using an HDMI cable, so the video card thinks you have an HDTV, which cannot adjust overscan automatically.
Go into your driver, find a tab for overscan, then move it however much you need.
