I need to overclock these two parts in my computer.

I've heard that sempron's are pretty good for overclocking, so it shouldn't be a huge issue for a first timer.

So the question is, how much should I overclock the ATI 9250 with the Rage3D tweak utility.

And how do I go about tweaking the proccessor? Like what programs do I use?

And what would be a safe amount to overclock?

you might as well not bother with the card, its to old so you're not gonna see much of a performance boost.

For the CPU (if you have the overclocking options in the BIOS) you may be abale to get to 2.2GHz or so, i've never seen them go much higher than that but, noticing your chipset you may be limited, the SIS chips dont seem to handle overclocking well

Didn't really notice any performance increase.

as for overclocking you'll have to get into the BIOS and follow the example in the link but, dont up the FSB to far or it may not POST (just go in increments of say 5MHz)

Before you do this you'll need to make sure you can change these settings in the BIOS, just look around in it and dont change anything. (Note: some BIOS's have hidden options that you have to unlock by hitting CTRL + F1 )

Those Palermo core's are really decent for oc'ing,Some peep's are getting close to 3Ghz out of them,I had a 2600+ (1.6Ghz) and it would do 2.3 no prob,I probably could have gotten a lot more out of it too if my board didn't max out where it did :angry:
