aww dude, that brought back some pleasant memorys, I used to have the fire station, pirate ship an a few other sets not to mention the huge bucket, now all i need is the mechano flashback an I would be set for a trip down memory lane.

This was one of the first sets that I was given back when I was 4.

I was into lego for quite a good 5 or 6 years when I was a kid. For about 12 months, it was taken over by the transformers. Not sure what ever happened to my lego / technics collection. I know that I would of had about $1000 (1990's money) worth of lego kits when I stopped playing with it. That was about the same time that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came down to Australia in 1990. I do remember being rather obsessed with TMNT until Puburty kicked in.
