AHCI setup on windows xp

I accidentally set up my harddrive to run on AHCI and it bsod's every time now. I can't remember how to turn this off, but I did it before.

Anyone have any advice?

I reset the bios/cmos but it was still set up on AHCI. I might try again in a second

Go into the Bios and look for the AHCI mode and set it to compatibility instead of enhanced. I've noticed each Bios labels these things slightly differently so use some discretion.

At least that's how it works on my laptop.
