i have the zalman 9500 (copper, with blue led's) works like a charm, and is very quite. i could run cooler if i had better airflow in my case (Case upgrade planed to fix that.)

i knew zalman would be the best but there pricey and i didnt see the one freestyle showed me i like it because it has a good AM2 mounting and socket 940 is the same as AM2 right? i look at some sole am2 socket mount fans and they say for only 940

940 and AM2 have the same mounting system actually i always thought the AM2 was the follow up to the popular 939 guess not.

Looks like any 940 compatible fans mount(not to say its easy) into a AM2 socket

Well, most of the aftermarket HSF's have multiple mounting solutions to apply to most any socket type currently available.

I like the Zalman coolers. I have two rigs with Zalmans in them and I've never seen either of them get much over the mid 40's under load.
