Hi there, I'm new to these forums so please bare with me!
I am currently running the following spec:

Windows 7 OS,

CORE I7 860 chipset, @ 2.87 Ghz
8 GB RAM (Corsair)
GIGABYTE ultra durable 3 - GA PSSA - UDR3 Motherboard, onboard digitial etc.
780W psu (was a corsair 650W TX until it died recently!)
ATI Radeon HD 5500 Gfx card (1Gig card)

LG Full HD monitor (wont be changing anytime soon)
Phillips 2.1 speakers (wont be changing anytime soon)

No overclocking
No watercooling etc. Just 2 stock fans - which will be upgraded along with the case and gfx card in Feb :)

I am looking to upgrade the Graphics card to a better one, prefably for under 150 quid
(although can stretch to more than that if I see fit) any reccomendations would be extremely useful as I'm not clued up at all. The only requirement is that it must have a HDMI socket.

Thanks very much!

Since it's an i7 computer which is high end, I would recommend the GeForce 580, but that's expensive. You won't need a processor that fast for gaming, though.

If you don't want to buy a 580, for for the 460, and buy another in the future and set both up in SLI to run new games as they come out.
