just wonder what people think of this. it got good reviews on newegg, but it doesn' t mention the weight of it. its pretty long looking so i wouldn't want to have too much torque on the CPU socket. anyone own one?

this would be used on a socket 939 mobo (ASUS A8V DELUXE Socket 939 VIA K8T800 Pro) with a pretty big Antec case. right away i can see that the CPU slot on this new mobo is high on the board but in my current rig there is a solid 1.5 inches between power supply and the top of the mobo (a little over 2 inches between power supply and heat sink).

also i should mention that this will probably be cooling a venice 3200 (pretty sure im getting that one anyways).

edit: just saw this one, another option:

heh, thanks for the advice

one other thing, if i use the aerocool heatsink how do you think i should set up the fan?

i was thinking that i'd put it on the "bottom side" blowing upward through the fins.

Have you checked out the Venus 12 by Thermaltake. It has over twice the CFM(more airflow)with 72.92cfm, and its cheaper than 2 you have listed 'buckman'.
