adding a new hard dirve

ok i deleted the partition it now reads....."31.49gb unallocated" doesnt sound right to me supposed to be an 80gb.
also when i get part way through the wizard it asks me to specify a partition sizewhats that all about,
it says maximum disk space 32248mb...minimum 8mb and asks me to chose a partition size between those sizes.
one day all this will become clear but i'll be too old to use a computer then...or dead

so when you dleted it the HDD bar was totallt black. if it was and it's only reading 32248mb your HDD is broken. return it.
