Acquiring the correct Res. for 50 inch 720p

Hey guys!


I've been searching everywhere for the answer to this, as I don't like to clog forums with posts unless I need to.

I have a Panasonic 50 inch 720p plasma TV, hooked up via hdmi to my computer.
I have been unable to get the correct res. (1900x720 i believe). Every res. option has left signification cutting to the picture.

I have nvidia 560 if that matters. 24 inch 1900x1080 res

What am i doing wrong? How can I make it to the picture i see on my monitor = the same on the tv?

1280x720 is the correct resolution for a 720p display. 1920x1080 is correct for a 1080p display (16:9)
