about to order my system lmk what u think

I have a 1.4 AMD Thunderbird at the moment with a stick of 512 SDDRAM. It deffinatly wont be able to handle battlefield 2 so im going to up grade.

I already have a 40gig harddrive but i'll prolly soon upgrade to an 80 gig. please lmk what u guys think. I was aiming for an upgraded system around 500 bucks and the total is 465. I only really want this system to play some www.l33t-wars.com and battlefield 2. thanks everyone, also let me kno if i can get a better deal on another product.

Looks like a good setup, yea you will need a new or anouther harddrive 40gigs jsut sint enought now days.

Yea its not. I installed 6 games a few days ago that alone used like 30 GBs in space alone. I'd recommended a AMD 3200 vience for 50 bucks more. But 3000 is very good. YOUR MOBO YOU WILL LOVE IT I ASSURE YOU. I have the extact same one. MY gaming file with just about 6 games is like 20 GBs already. So bigger HD is a must. And they are cheap too not real $$$ so when do you ugprade i'd get a 200 GB 7200 RPM that'll last you a while.

Yeah definitely would, Although a 100GB SATA should do fine.

thanks for all the comments guys. I'm really only going to use this comp for playing hl2 and its mods along with bf2. i kno this isnt a bf2 forum but does anyone kno around what setting i will be able to run bf2 with like medium or low and around what fps I will get. i'll be runnin a 6600GT 128 MB if that helps.
