Inside your mind...
Okay so I have recently gotten a GTX 1060 6GB graphics card (A Asus DUAL-GTX1060-6G)
This is a nice graphics card for the price I got it for, works great on all my games (really dont need anything too pricey mid tier is fine with me)
Now I am going to go with Ryzen but seems like the model I am getting wont have a onboard APU (I am actually going to fetch a Ryzen 7 1700 at microcenter as they have a nice deal on it and a motherboard right now)
So this would not normally be an issue but... I use linux as my main OS.
I still use windows for occasional gaming but since Nvidia has its hiccups with linux i am thinking of down the road a bit to buy another GPU.
I feel this is a good idea as if my GTX1060 has an issue I can have something there to give me video output.
So yeah a non gaming GPU to use as a surrogate seems to be a good idea for my build.
Even if I wasnt using linux this seems like a good idea to me.
So i am looking into a discrete GPU under $100, something that can at least serve minor gaming but wont be used for it.
Older GPU's are welcome but linux is a huge factor here.
I only ask as everyone rants and raves about gaming GPU's that cost $200 and up but not much about a generalized non gaming GPU to use as a surrogate or wingman.

This is not going to be SLI as my soon to be B350 motherboard wont support it.
I am just going for a backup GPU
