A game?

Well I've recently discovered some free cash I have which isn't very often and I thought it'd be cool to get another game for my baby. So, are there any games that people SERIOUSLY recommend out there? In general, either a War related strategy (apart from Medieval II, Warcraft) or an RPG which is really good.

But generally speaking, any decent game you feel is a must on the PC.

Thanks in advance!

well you might want to take a look at the neverwinter nights series.
I didn't like nwn 2, but the 1st one was awesome. You should probably be able to get the first one with both of the expansion packs for quite cheap.

Also there is a new game that will be out soon called World In Conflict. There is a beta currently going, don't know when the full game will be released. It's a nice strategy game, though it's quite different from the usual. However I'm afraid that with time it will get very boring since it's quite simple in the end. But at least I've enjoyed the beta version a lot.

For war strategy, Rome: Total War is pretty good. One of my favorite RTS games.

My personal favorite RPG in the "classic" sense is probably Oblivion. Assuming you've got good hardware, this game will push it to the limits. The environments are beautiful.

Other games worth looking into are Deus Ex and GTA: San Andreas. You probably know all about GTA, but Deus Ex is basically an FPS RPG. Depending on choices you make throughout the game, there are something like 3 different endings. It was game of the year in 2001, and is one of my favorite games of all time.

Not exactly. Two letters plus a symbol and another letter. CS:S.

Yeah Deus Ex is really good, also you might look into CoD1 and CoD2, which are both excellent WW2 games. Battlefield is great as well.

Hmm Rome: Total War just seems like Medieval II: Total War. Pretty much exactly the same actually .. except Medieval II has better graphics and perhaps Rome looks slightly more intensified battles, which is not cool for me because too much it gets crowded :p.

I don't play many games, but F.E.A.R is a must if you like FPS's, and you haven't got it already. You need a pretty good system to run that in high settings too, so it'd be a nice test.
