98 color problem

I got a REALLY old comp for my brother its a presario 5304 and I wiped the Hard drive clean( it was littered with porn and this is going to an 8 year old , lol) and when I put the 98 operating system back on the clean hard drive it started up, and I tried to run a game. It said you need to run this game in 256 colors when i tried to change the screen res. and the # of colors the bar you slide up stays at 480 x 680 is there any way to change this, how do i fix this?

Right click my computer and goto properties, then device manager and see if there is any devices with a pretty yellow exclamation mark, cause I'm thinking the Video card isnt installed correctly

rite click game and go to properties, compatiblity, and check "run in 256 colors" . there u go.

ok all it says is that PCI communication device, Ethernet controller , and Multimedia audio device. are all got the exclamation mark. What do I need to do?Install a new driver or what?

you need to get the mobo drivers for the computer (if its built in graphics).Otherwise you need to get the 98 drivers for the graphics card.

It is integrated , where do i get drivers for the vid card? and what is a good way to transfer a big file it isn't hooked to the internet and I don't have any C.D.'s to burn with the drivers on it.

If its integrated graphics, then you need to get the mobo model and search for the drivers online
