Thanks for the help, I didn't notice that fuse up there.

You should have went with pioneer speakers based on your car stock sizes. Then gotten two fifteen inch subs with alteast 1,000 watts average not max output. Getting a new aftermarket radio would have been clear sound.

Bought the thing for a $1 what the ****.

When you go to upgrade your sound, really, in the end you want to upgrade everything, and run new wire instead of using the stock wiring. Trust me, those shops "rig" the display models (you know, that huge wall of buttons with all the speakers/radios) using different pre-amps and amps to get really good quality sound out of some units that otherwise wouldn't sound very good.

Agreed with this. Higher quality wire, coming out of a good stereo into good speakers will net you the best. And it's fairly cheap to do (can buy speaker wire by the roll in 50 or 100ft rolls for fairly cheap).

Depends on the vehicle and how well you want to hide it lol. Replacing it in the doors would be the most PITA... but running new wire to the back speakers is usually easy because you can usually hide it under the carpet or side trim. If the fronts are on the dash, then it wouldn't be hard to run new wire those either.

That's how I have my wires coming from my head unit going back to my rear 6x9's in my Monte Carlo setup. I ran it under the carpet by the driver side and passenger side for the left and right speakers respectively. There's plastic trim that pops up by the door/floor, and I hid it under there. Then I ran it there until I got to the backseat, where I ran it under my backseat, and up into between the trunk lining/frame. You can see about 3-4 inches of it where it comes out from under the trim and goes behind the backseat...but looks nice. May take some pics later after I get off work to show you what I mean, if you like.

Running new wires for the back speakers is EASY, depending on the dash, some make it hard to pull wire through. The hardest wires to re-run would be the wires in your doors. I have found that taking the panel off, and popping out the black thing that protects the wires between the body/frame makes it very easy when running wires to the doors as you can more easily get the wires through that black rubber. I ran 14 gauge wire under the carpet on the driver side for my back speakers, and 14 gauge to my fronts, takes time, but it's well worth it when you upgrade your speakers AND head unit. The stock wire is really... Pitiful....

Stock wire is like 20 guage or so lol.

Wow 14 guage? I only have 16guage running to my speakers lol. You must be pushing some power eh?
