O onimusha In Runtime Messages 261 Aug 21, 2005 #5 939 is the best and the most popular and it will remain so, untill m2 socket comes out in 2006 supporting ddr2, but the best for now is 939, dont worry about m2 its a long way from now before it comes out.

D Dishdog Fully Optimized Messages 2,801 Aug 21, 2005 #7 only intel CPU supporting MOBO's can use DDR2 at the moment. AMD boards are a little behind.
N Nik00117 Fully Optimized Messages 4,032 Aug 21, 2005 #8 Yes but AMD boards will support DDR2. I hope they stay with Socket 939. Cause if they do i'm buying me a new board.

So AMD's going to support DDR2? That's good news. But yeah, 939 is better supported and allow dual core support too as with other Athlon 64's and 64 FX CPUs.
