750 GB External Hard Drive

hay i have a question about useing one of those to store movies
will it be sluggish, or slow when you are playing movies straight from the external HD?
i want to store my movie collection on a 1TB HD and watch them on my LCD TV
so that would mean that they would come off of the HD and through the processor then through the GPU and then into the TV
after all of that would it seem a little bit off? off as in slow or funny looking?
i plan on connecting the 2 using an HDMI cable

I have the 250GB version of that and it's not sluggish in any way. It's real time just as if you were to play it off of your internal drive. Usually, the bigger the drive, the longer it takes to access so I don't know there. I'll have to get a 750GB one to find out.
