How much more of a performance increase would this thing give me?

right now i have a 5600+ 2.8Ghz non black edition, 90nm

this thing is an unlocked multiplier and 65nm. is it worth it? and yes i'll be OCing

You should be able to hit at least 3.3GHz and above with X2 5400+ BE. That's not a bad price either.

and its the same stock clock then my current, only black edition. and i got this (locked multiplier) 5600+ to 3.1. how high can black editions go anyways?

Not at all worth it, peformance downgrade on stock settings, slightly higher overclocking potential but no guarantee

Depends on how good the part you get is. Overclocking will be much easier thanks to the unlocked multi.

i think it would be worth it. Less heat, more efficient and higher clocks. sounds good to me

just wish i could find some benchs
