512x2 AND 1024x1?

Ok if im running a gig right now in dual channel (512x2) if i buy a single stick of 1023 and put it in will i see a huge diffrence?? Also is it better to just get anouther stick of 1024 and take out my 512xs and just run it in 1024x2? Sorry if that is confussing..

well ofcourse the more ram the better. But if I were u I'd just get another 2x512 of dual channel ram, then u will have 2gb of ram which will be enough for now. And it won't cost u that much either.

If I understood correctly u want to know if u will notice any difference between 2x512 and 2x512 + 1024. If so then yes u will notice the difference.

ok thanks! One more question will running 2 sticks of 1024 in Dual channel be faster than running 4 sticks of 512?
