im repairing a 486dx2 system manufactured by zenon computer systems. this was originally an upgrade job for a friend. someone opened the case to put a cd drive in it and since then it wont read a hard drive. now the battery is dying and the cmos wont remember the settings im putting in it to set up the hard drive. it gives a 2 short beep beep-code. i looked it up and it said parity circuit failure. on the screen it shows HDD controller failure. any suggestions? i cant scrap it because its been assigned as a project by a teacher. im stumped
