The Inquirer (don't know how accurate they are) stated that AMD will release an Opteron processor clocked at 3 GHz in the beginning of the second quarter.
It uses the 90 nm single-core 256, aimed at two-way servers, should have 1 MB of L2 cache and use socket 940, like the previous models.
