200 Hertz?

I set my refresh rate to 200 Hertz cause its available, can this mess anything up?

Why yes, it can mess things up or at the least dramatically shorten the life span. Also, like asked above where in the **** did you get said monitor?? Are you sure you are reading this right?

yes **** i have had it on for 2 hours. It is a Sceptre 14" inch lcd. What should I set it to.

must be an error with Windows.

The Maximum i have ever seen a monitor go up to is 120 Hertz.

Nope just plugged another pc in and it goes up to 240Hertz HOLYSHIT!

make sure the "Do not display refresh rates this monitor cant handle" is clicked.

Are you sure you have "Hide refresh rates this monitor cannot display" checked???? It sounds like you don't...

Edit: I took too long to research the monitor's possible specs... Nubius beat me to it.

Wow, 240Hz. My CRT only goes up to 160Hz.

Yes its clicked and if I dont it just gives me some more options between 200 and 43? I think. Its crazy, I am just going to set it at 75Hertz.
