I have 1024 ram, two 512 sticks of pc-3200c2 but when i right click "my computer" and click on properties, it says 1.00GB of ram and on my crap cleaner program, it tells you your specs and says 1.0GB

and Everest says this (i copied and pasted the line)

Field Value
System Memory 1024 MB (DDR SDRAM)

{^that seems right}

so.. my question is... my computer running the 1024, and those programs just aren't adding it the 24, and its there... or am i'm not getting my full ram?

advice please :)

1024 RAM is actally a GB its the REAL amount to make a GB. people just say 1000 because it easier

Exact Conversion
1,024 Byte = 1 Kilobyte (KB)
1,024 Kilobyte (KB) = 1 Megabyte (MB)
1,073,741,824 Bytes = 1 Gigabyte (GB)
1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,024 Megabyte (MB)
For more conversions use a calculator.

Yep 1024MB=1GB. thats how HDD companies rip you off. a 160GB HDD is really only 149GB. they count it as 1000MB=1GB but your computer counts it as 1024MB=1GB.
