For a lot of games micro-stutter was directly related to CPU bottlenecking. I didn't understand this until much much later in the game, but by then there was only 2 more gens of SLI then they killed it for good. DX12 did a good job of that too.

I could feel the difference going from stock to 4.5, it was massive. When I'm at the hotel I'll be using a 60hz screen so I tested uncapped and capped. The frametime spikes were still there due to the CPU usage but it wasn't as prevalent as running at 240hz uncapped. I know for sure it's the CPU...

Vaccines aren't useless. We don't have smallpox, measles, polio etc for a reason. It's just the difference between a vaccine intended to properly eradicate an issue, vs ones designed to make money. The covid vac is an mRNA and it does give you antibodies towards the virus. The problem being, it...

Yea I gotta agree with him, I've seen the phone in person and the fold out is definitely the whole point of the phone. I feel it's targeted for people who don't mind being on the charger. That same guy usually posts about how long his battery life is with his S20+ Ultra and then he got the Fold...

This is a heavily OC'd 2500k @ 4.5GHz with 16GB 1866, 240GB HyperX PCI-E SSD (pre-NVMe), and a pair of Titan Xp's (not in SLI, it's my other mining machine). Playing at 1440p res it games great like you would think with a better than 1080ti card but less than 2080 card. My usual main rig...

I have those disabled, and I also have it running at 4.5 with 1866MHz RAM. If I could find my damn spare NVMe drive I'd use it for boot but anything pegs all 4 cores and slows it down.

Well after gaming on an overclocked 2500k it does get the job done but damn you can tell the difference in general tasks. I wish I had a 2600k to compare it to because I think the extra threads would make all the difference.

Funny how you get an Android phone after years of not having one and something isn't working correctly right off the bat. That was my experience also and why I just ditched the thought for good.

Hated my Galaxy. Thing was slow af, big, and a total pain in the ass. I use my Apple Watch for payments and notifications mostly. I don't look at my phone while I'm driving so if somebody calls or sends me something I know what's up without looking away from the road.

Configuring a second router on the same network for ethernet use

If you don't have access to the main router odds have it he will notice at some point and confront you over it. Best to talk to him about it to get it all configured because yes, it's possible, but it'll show up under DHCP on his side.

    About intel 12th core cpu

"Many people" are basing on assumptions of rumors over tech that isn't to be assumed over because it doesn't exist yet in the desktop space. The hardware scheduler and performance seem promising on paper but we won't know for sure until it's independently reviewed for use case.

    SSD question

This is only going to tell you idle temps. You need to monitor with a load EG a game using a software like MSI Afterburner, or you can do a stress test using a free copy of AIDA64. A card like that with the age, odds are the paste is dry and needs to be reapplied with some fresh paste.

Front Panel Header Connections on Board Intel MoBo

The pwr and hdd portions are reversible, so if I had to take an educated guess it would be that if you want to use a seperate power LED that doesn't flash with HDD activity you could plug the + side of the power LED into that extra pin.

I'm 50/50 on it. My original issue was scheduling but Intel is implementing a hardware level controller that handles specific ISA level scheduling for P vs E cores.
