You are correct that they do not recharge but when you disconnect the main power supply, you'll still shorten the cmos battery's life

Turn on pc with smart plug/google home

Edit: it would be in your best interest to leave the wall power on to your pc because that also keeps your cmos battery charged while the pc is turned off. By disconnecting the 120v/240v to your pc you will shorten the cmos battery life.

I know this is not what you want to hear but......Walk up to the pc, fully extend your index finger, push the button on the pc. Or just use the sleep mode and it'll wake up with the mouse movement. Seriously....computers use a push button to start. Which acts like a temporary jumper between two...

    Peripheral Issue

is this a wireless mouse? check the battery They can and do get dirty inside where the sensor is and the scroll wheel. If your handy with mechanical you might be able to take it apart to clean. Also the little rubber feet on the bottom can wear out and that affect your mouse operation too.

geez... around here where there are too many, our township hired archers to cull the herd in the community parks and golf courses. The Food & Drink Thread

Around here we call "deer" Venison and it is very popular in this part of the country. Also makes for a very good summer sausage too. Side note..... CPU fan question

It is possible to remove the pins for the fan connector from the fan to the motherboard. But you'll need a second fan connector to plug the "tach" wire into the second connector and use that on the mother board and keep the original fan connector for the 4 pin molex adapter. You can remove those...

    CPU fan question

O.K. just that there are a lot of times when you buy a fan they give you a connector for the power supply molex along with the 3 pin motherboard connector too. I've collected a bunch of those over the years....I'm sure you could buy one but I do not know if that would be any cheaper than the...

    CPU fan question

There is a mod you can do to change the volts on a power supply molex connector without having to buy resistors or do any soldering.... You really do not need a molex pin remover because a lot of ink pen ink cartridges are the same size as the molex pin. so you can find the right cartridge...

    CPU fan question

I do not think your asking your question in terms that are common in terms of pc tech. I can tell that tach wire should be what is known as a 4 wire pwm fan (pulse width modulation). I have no clue as to what your referring to as a "blower"

    SSD question

SSD's do not have the type of sectors that platter drives have. That does not mean an area of memory on the SSD chip won't go bad, but most modern SSD drives account for those errors. I think I would first check your graphics for dust and debris built up in the fan and heatsink, You can blow...

Front Panel Header Connections on Board Intel MoBo

Your case front panel buttons normally do not need a 5v connection so you can just ignore that 5v pin. I have never ran into a case that required the use of the 5v pin. Possibly someone else here knows, but I do not know of any cases that would use that 5v pin

Front Panel Header Connections on Board Intel MoBo

No concern for that 5v #9 pin. Most pc cases will not require that connection. Read page #53 in the manual for your mother board that you posted a link to.
