Re: How do I attach picture here

To post a link/URL you have to use BBCode. I use the plain text editor so I don't know if the fancy one has the URL button on it or not.

To post the link you can just paste it in the body of the...

Re: Brand new build, halp

I am running a 5700 XT, a PowerColor Red Devil to be exact. The only issue I have had was having to set my PCI-E to x3 to use a PCI-E extension cable with my AsRock X570 Extreme Wifi AX board. Not...

Re: reFormating a Drive to use in new build

I can attest to that as I have made that mistake.

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

No. I almost exclusively play a 6.5 year old game, Battlefield 4. The 1660 I had handled it just fine, even with the Ryzen 1600. Hell, I played it just fine when it came out and I was on a Phenom II...

Re: Flickering red horizontal lines on screen

Do you have another GPU to put in to see if your current GPU is the culprit? Since the monitor works fine on your Xbox that seems to rule it out. You have already tried other cables, as well.

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

OK, I redid this post. The first pic is of the previous configuration with the 1660 in place. The second pic is the new configuration with the 5700 XT mounted vertically.

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

I changed the PCI-E to 3.0 and was able to install and use the extension cable. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

You so funny. :p

If I limit PCI-E to 3.0 speeds wouldn't that slow down my M.2 speeds to PCI-E 3.0 speeds as well?

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

It looks like my GFX card is just not going to play well with any vertical mount and cable. Bummer. Since I previously returned two Cooler Master brackets I think I will try to sell this Phanteks one...

Re: Just posting my new rig - carbide 275r build rgb

I have been messing with some vertical GPU bracket/cables myself but haven't had much luck. My card fits and the brackets mount but I can't get any video signal. It looks like the front end of the...

Who would have thought that it would be so freaking difficult to find and download the ISO for MS Office 2016 Home and Student Retail? I recently wiped and reinstalled Win10 and hadn't got around to...

Re: What should i upgrade

Your two cheapest upgrades would be RAM and GPU. 8GB is the minimum for gaming nowadays; 16GB has become the standard.

Your 470 is the bigger stumbling block but it would also be the more...

Re: What You've Just Bought!

Well the vertical GPU bracket was a bust. Apparently the cable that came with it is bad. I will get a replacement and see how that one works.

Re: What You've Just Bought!

I sold the PC I cobbled together from spare parts (Ryzen 5 1600, MSI B350 Gaming Plus, 2x4GB Patriot RAM, 512GB Adata SSD, RX 570, Antec 650W PSU, Cooler Master Box K500) the other day, so I made a...

Re: Multimedia PC (4K Netflicks/Prime)

The 3200G/3400G are Picasso APUs so this is the proper list:

16GB will be more than enough for this build.

The 3400G...

Re: What You've Just Bought!

Re: Potentially the longest thread in history...

Re: motherboard and cpu upgrade

Heck, even a B350/B450 board and a 1600/2600 would be a HUGE upgrade, bud. I went from a FX8320 to a Ryzen 1600 and was blown away. Going from the 1600 to the 3600X wasn't as big a jump but still...
