    Losing Connection While Gaming/YouTube

Hook your laptop up to the Linksys router with a CAT5 cable and try playing the games/youtube to see if it continues to happen. Make sure to DISABLE the wifi adapter though, I believe wireless will take priority.

Troubleshooting network expansion to a Second Location

The most efficient way to do it, while maintaining stability, would be a VPN setup. In this type of situation, however, you may want to go with a VPN concentrator of some kind to support all the traffic. We have 3 VPN concentrators where I work to all of the sites we support (5000+) and its solid.

    Extreme trouble opening port "25565"

Couple of questions: - Is your modem bridged? (public IP on your router) If not, is your routers private IP set as a DMZ host on the modem? Or do you have port forwards in your modem also forwarding port 25565 to your router IP? A lot of people forget that the traffic has to get through your...

    Unsigned Driver

This is the message that pops up, except the the driver information is not the same. This is just an image taken from the internet: The VPN software is an Array SSLVPN tunnel adapter. "Array" is the company who makes the client. Cannot say for sure what the exact version we are using.

    nVidia Driver Update Failing

"Link us to the installer?" - not sure what you mean. A notification poped up from the nVidia control panel saying an update is available. It listed my current driver version, and the new driver version with a 'download' button. Thats what I clicked to install the new driver. This is where...

Advice needed (entry level IT jobs)

I have been told this many times, and I have found it to be true. Graduating college with a degree in the computer field does not mean as much as some other fields. One of my professors who helped design Nasa's wireless network said that graduating college does not prove a whole lot as far as...

    gaming laptops

This is incorrect. 'Nothing' is a very strong word. Yes, GPU is greater than CPU for games, but you dont want a good GPU with an "OK" CPU, its a huge bottleneck.

    ASUS Zenbook for school?

Not true. When I was going to college for computer networking, I wish I had a more powerful computer. I went all the way through with a HP EliteBook 8530w. We did a lot of virtual labs networking between virtual machines on our own PC's and on classmates PC's with virtual machines for...

    Toolkit issue

I am working on removing some viruses from a friends computer. The one that does not get removed by malwarebytes, and keeps triggering Norton Antivirus over and over is 'Malicious Toolkit Website 9'. There is also a process running called winupd.exe, which I believe is related. This process...
