I finished putting my friends computer together. I pop the xp pro disk in and boot it up everything runs, but when i want to do a fresh install of windows i get a message saying there is no hard drive detected.After the Asus logo i get a message (No Drive connected to fast track Controller)...

I'm not seeing any issues, but i took a look at the avg virus vault and the trojan is in there. Avg details Healable = No/Source= Back up copy/Status= Infected. As long as the Trojan is in the vault will my computer be ok?

I downloaded Avg anti-virus and then i took out the zlob.byw from bitdefenders quarantine. Avg automatically detected it and healed it i think but im not sure. By removing the following that you told me, what exactly will it improve. Im worried that there might be leftover infected files etc...

Not in safe mode. I downloaded the same file again to see if it would be the same thing. I opened it and again something came up in dos asking for an overwrite. I pressed N for no and all the files vanished. I have no idea where they went.

I downloaded a f-22 raptor game demo from downloads. com and when i opened it something showed up in dos and then vanished. The demo doesnt work nor can i delete the files that i downloaded because i get an error that says its used by another program. I restarted my machine but it didnt help...
