    Gamecopyworld

It's a site that contains No-CD patches that are used for PC Games. Basically you can use No-CD fixes/patches to run games installed on your PC so that you can play the games without having the CD in the drive. GCW has been around for ages, as has the other large no-cd fix site...

starting windows for the first time

Was the Windows installation completed successfully? This screen is only supposed to appear once, which is the initial bootup after the install, and it's supposed to default to the regular one by itself, after the install.

    how's this setup? i'm new =P

Yup, the GF FX 5900 is awesome (as is a RADEON 9700 Pro, 9800 Pro, and XT) The Audigy 2 line is by far the best sound card available ;)

    how's this setup? i'm new =P

Not bad, but the video card & sound card are a bit weak. GeForce MX series of cards have very bad performance (Ti series is better) and the SoundBlaster Live isn't that great of a card. (I went from SB Live 5.1-->Turtle Beach Santa Cruz-->Audigy 2 Platnum) Other than that, the system looks...

    Sega Dreamcast

Owned? All you did is repeat what I said in my first post. The rest is common knowledge. We all know the console uses GD-ROMs as the media, and you went on about that. If you read my post, you would have noticed I said you need to hook up the DC to the PC with the coder cable. (this is when...

    new video card

Well, whatever you decide, definitely stay away from the GeForce *MX* line of cards. If you get another GeForce get a Ti card. (maybe Ti4600?)

Another card that offers excellent performance is the RADEON 9700 PRO (whenever getting a Radeon, make sure it's the PRO series) and it's under $300 http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=1&submit=Go&description=N82E16814102254...

Ah, I misread you post. The last link you provided will be more than enough to play those games you requested, so I would go with that.

Yes, I agree. They are expensive, because you stated that you wanted a card with 256MB. (The 128MB will do just fine btw)
