    Constant Crashes [Vista]

i have a cooling pad now, and my laptop isnt hot anymore. the cooling pad is quiet and does a good job. i uninstalled coretemp before i got the cooling pad, so unless you want me to find out the temperature again, ill keep it uninstalled.

I went to AMD's chipset driver page and downloaded the first (AMD Driver Pack, Version 1.30). I havent executed it yet. I have an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and that download is supposed to detect my OS and install the right drivers. But im not sure this is the right one for me because it doesnt...

    Constant Crashes [Vista]

I need to get one soon. I was sitting it on top of a pillow in my lap, blocking the fan. So, i put on a book instead and instead of being in the 160-190 range, its brought itself down to 142-145. The touchpad is starting to burn my fingers alot too. I found out, basically, what a chipset is...

    Constant Crashes [Vista]

Ill take care of the cooling pad first, and then if I have any more crashes, Ill know the driver could be causing it on its own. What are chipset drivers and what do I need them for?

    Constant Crashes [Vista]

Ok, ill try to get a cooling pad to bring down the heat. But I thought you said overheating was the probelm, so what do drivers have to do with it? Or are drivers and overheating both contributing to crashes? I dont know if i have installed the chipset drivers. How can i tell?

I really wish it would go down. It burns everything it touches. Any idea on how it got that way? Because i dont. What is IRQL? And is there any way to fix this? :(

    Constant Crashes [Vista]

Cooling pads cost money right? where would i get one? What drivers are you talking about? & Ive seen that BSOD screen so many times, it would seem like i would know what it said. but lately, its been going by so fast I dont even have time to read it.
