A good program for it is StyleXP but you have to pay for that after the trial is up. I use it and it is a good program, easy to change boot screens, logon screens e.t.c :p

The Ram, you should have DDR400 PC 3200 ram for best performance - check here - Ebuyer for some good 1024MB Ram, and not that expensive aswell :)

Yup, you need to reformat before you install a new Mobo, as if you dont, and install the new mobo over the top, it will still be configured to the old mobo, but will work with the new one, and you will lose a great deal performance wish (beleive me, i know) ;)

Sounds like your GFX card hasnt been installed yet. Either use the drivers from the cd you should have got with the card, or if its part of a company built pc (e.g. Dell) pop in their master cd and get the drivers from that or find out your GFX card make, go the the manufacturers site and...

Something like this recently happened to me which made me get a new hd. Take the side panel off, take out the cables that are conected to the hard drive, plug them back in and boot up. See it that works :)

Have you gotten the latest driverrs for it, also, try installing it again, it might have messed up while it was being installed :)

I use the fans and heatsink is says in my sig And with them i get it up to about 3.2GHz before it starts becomeing unstable :)

As far as im aware, normal P4's only run with a FSB off 400mhz, its only the P4EE's that have a 800mhz fsb. I might be wrong, but if its running at 400mhz, then there is nothing wrong as it's supposed to run at that :)
