my moniter was working fine for a week after i brought it but now when i turn it on there are vertical black stripes going down my screen, also the end of the screen at the right is over on the left hand side. It is nothing to do with the signil from the computer because i have tried it on...

It adds up to around AU$1950. It cost more because I brought a better power pack abd case and also have a tv tuner and vista. My original build which was similar except it was P4 and XP cost $1600. I thought that if I spend a little more on the newest parts it would last a lot longer.

Does speedfan moniter the CPU temp.?

I am going to build a computer soon and I am unsure how to check that none of my parts are overheating. Does anyone know how to? Thanks in advance.

When I build my computer am i suppost to turn the power on with only the powerpack to check that it is working. Also should i turn the powerpack on with only the mobo, ram, CPU and CPU fan. I have heard that if everything is connected correctly it will make several beebs. Thanks in advance.

Also is it better to have two smaller drives rather than 1 big one?
